Boothbay Harbor, even more admin

Saturday 11 August: Boothbay Harbor, admin again.
We wake up to a chilly and dark sky day. And over breakfast debate whether we make a move today to make it back to Camden for the rally, or we progress southwards. Forecast shows rain all afternoon and hardly any wind, so we stay put for another day.
Ashore, we have our daily trip to the hardware store for some gas fittings, then treat ourselves with a very nice coffee at Red Cup. We fancy lobster for lunch, so we dinghy across the bay to the fish coop, where we pick 3 large lobsters; that should fill us nicely!
Back onboard, Glen installs planing wings on the outboard. We changed the prop from 3 to 4 blades, and the performance of the engine is significantly reduced. If this wings will not stop the cavitation, we will revert to the 3 blade prop.
Then to our lobster feast. We can’t fit all 3 in our pot, so the biggest one goes on first while the other two giggle in the sink listening to their buddy’s attempts to escape its fateful sauna. Last time 2 small soft shell lobster left us wanting more, but this time 3 large hard shell lobster may have been a little too much! But they were really delicious. We’ll certainly miss New England lobster.
For post lunch activity, Glen challenges himself to take apart the WiFi BAT antenna. Which in the process gets completely destroyed. Too much epoxy paint made it impossible to dismantle. And while at messing with electronics, we service the old wind transducer by adding in a new wiring loom. Now we can have it as a spare. Thanks to the brilliant electronics tech, Jacque, in Martinique who managed to sell us a spare loom.
Late evening brings in rain, again, and on that note we retire to bed.
